The location is amazing with direct beach access, and the children's playground is a nice touch for families. The sliding barn door in our bathroom didn't provide much privacy. Would stay again for the views.

The room was spacious and recently updated, providing a super comfortable atmosphere. I loved the separate counter with a sink outside the bathroom, making it convenient to prepare coffee or snacks. The beds were cozy and the temperature control kept the room just right. the noise level from neighbors was noticeable, especially late at night. Towels needed a hook, and the closet lacked doors. WiFi was fast, but the AC unit was quite loud. A check-in time of 4 PM and no elevator might be challenging for some guests. the room had a lot to offer.

My stay was fantastic since I could step right outside my room to the beach, making morning walks along the shore simply breathtaking, plus there are great dining spots like Mama Kwan's Grill and the Beachcombers Tiki Hut just under a 10-minute walk away, and don't miss the Wright Brothers National Memorial which is less than 3 km from here too; the rooms are spacious, quiet, and comfy, though the hotel could improve by offering more housekeeping services during stays.

This property has potential, but numerous shortcomings hold it back. The beachfront location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, the rooms need significant maintenance. Narrow hallways and stained carpets create an unwelcoming atmosphere. Our room had some updates, but the leaking shower and odd layout detracted from comfort. The breakfast options were acceptable, though coffee in the room would be a simple improvement. Staff were friendly, but lack of service and noisy neighbors disrupted our peace. Ultimately, with better maintenance and attention to detail, this could be a stronger offering. Consider other options if you prioritize comfort and quiet.

One thing I really appreciated was the location right on the beach - I mean, you couldn't beat that view of the waves crashing. The staff were also super friendly and the proximity to restaurants and activities was a big plus. On the downside, the room had more of a motel vibe than a hotel feel. It felt a bit cramped with limited space between the bed and the fridge. The breakfast was just okay and the room was consistently humid, which was a bit uncomfortable. The free WiFi was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the connection was terrible. I couldn't stay connected for long, and the TV streaming was unwatchable due to lost signals. the air conditioner in our room made a loud clicking noise which made it difficult to sleep. the highlights of the stay were the beautiful beachfront location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff.

Housekeeping works hard, but you need to request cleaning. The beach is practically a step away, and the pool area with its nice chairs invites relaxation. Breakfast has solid options, and the observation deck is a gem for dolphin watching. My room had issues-water on the floor and a noisy neighbor-but the staff responded quickly to fix things and offered some nice compensations. The walls are thin, and the ice machine is a trek away, but the views from the balcony during sunset made it all worthwhile.

The room was super spacious and immaculately clean! The staff treated us like family, making us feel so welcome. The beachfront access and the pirate playground for the kids were the cherry on top!

Our family had a fantastic time during our weekly vacation at this beachfront hotel. The newly remodeled rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. We loved the easy access to the beach and enjoyed the deck and grills for some outdoor fun. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and providing great assistance throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again for a beachside retreat.

just returned from a lovely stay at John Yancey Oceanfront Inn. the room was clean with a great view and the staff were incredibly friendly. we even brought our disabled dog and they treated him very well. the atmosphere was comfortable and laid back, with easy beach access and a fantastic restaurant nearby. the pool and outside facilities were well-maintained, and the employees took great pride in their work.
